weetsalt is a gourmet cafe/bakery with fresh soups and salads, sandwiches and a variety of home made sweets. Available for catering and private events. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Our menu changes seasonally.

Chef/owner Alex Eusebio and his wife Sara Mann Eusebio opened Sweetsalt in January of 2010 in Los Angeles’s Toluca Lake neighborhood.

Sweetsalt has about 25 tables and 8 seats on the outside patio. In the short time Sweetsalt has been open we have many regular guests, mostly from the neighborhood, but also a lot of studio/film/tv patrons from the neighboring Universal, Warner Bros and Disney Studios. The food at Sweetsalt is Seasonal American with a hint of French and Basque Spanish, revolving around the use of fresh, seasonal ingredients. Each dish either complements or contrasts different flavor profiles and/or textures…. thus the “sweet and salt” in our name.

Where are you located?

We’re on the south side of riverside dr in toluca lake which is adjacent to burbank. Directly across from the Wells Fargo, west of Bob’s Big Boy, east of Cahuenga.

What are your hours?

We’re open M-S 8am-4pm

We serve breakfast from 8-11am M-F and from 8-2pm Sat & Sun.

We serve only our dinner menu from 5-9 M-F but there are many cross-over items from our lunch menu.

Do you have wifi?

Yes. we ask that if you are planning to spend an extended amount of time working, you use a table that seats the number of people in your group. your laptop does not count as a human. we also request that you either give up your table during lunch so that we may seat other customers there during high volume or that you order another meal.

Can i order breakfast after 11 (or 2 on weekends)? it’s only 5 (or 2 or 12) minutes after.

No. sorry, we’d love to serve eggs all day but with our limited space and high demand we have to cut it off strictly at our end times.

Am I able to make a reservation?

Yes; as long as it is for our dinner service which is M-F 5pm-9pm. otherwise, daytime we are first come first served and you will be ordering at the counter (although we serve your food at the table.) If you have a large party you’ll be arriving with during the day, we’d love to know in advance but we still cannot accept a reservation. We recommend sending one or two people from your group about 5-10 minutes ahead of time to scope out the dining room and alert us to your arrival so we can assist in moving tables to accommodate your party.

Do you offer delivery?

Unfortunately we do not offer delivery at this time. You may send a messenger to pick up your orders, but please make sure they have as much information as possible about your order (the name it was placed under, a list of items they are expecting to pick up, a direct phone number for you in case of any questions that arise).

We have experienced many issues in communication when customers order via online or application based food delivery services. If you choose to use one of those services, be aware that there may be some delay as we do our best to communicate clearly with them.

I want to place a large order. what is the best way of doing that?

We accept as many large carryout orders as we can handle every day of the week. We prefer to receive them via fax (fax# 818.509.8875) or email (8185098875@hpeprint.com and include all details in the body of your email) or by phone if needed. Prepare your list with a show or office name, preferred pickup time, names or numbers for each item and any and all modifications before calling. Our most recent menu update should be available under our menu dropdown, please consult it before placing an order. The earlier in the day you’re able to send your order the easier it is for us to fulfill it. Always call the restaurant (phone: 818.509.7790) after sending us an order.

If you are sending a messenger to pick up your order please make sure they have as much information as possible about your order (the name it was placed under, a list of items they are expecting to pick up, a direct phone number for you in case of any questions that arise) to ensure prompt pickup and delivery.

Can I place a custom pastry order?

To place a custom dessert order, please email our pastry chef at Heather@sweetsaltfood.com. We will reply to all inquiries within 1-2 business days. For more immediate answers to your query, call us direct at (818)509-7790.

Can I order a large quantity of pastries?

Yes! our pastry chef, heather wong, takes both custom and quantity orders as available. She books quickly and with enough notice will always accommodate what she is able. If you’d like to place an order for a custom cake or desserts please email heather@sweetsaltfood.com and leave a detailed message with the type of event, number of people you’re serving as well as any information about flavors/colors/design preferences. Someone will get back to you as quickly as they are able.

May i walk in and order a large quantity of desserts?

Yes; whatever we have available in our case is for sale. We are limited to what is already made and the available pastries and flavors vary. Call ahead if you have something specific in mind or at high volume hours (11am-2:30pm) so we can box your desserts ahead of time. We can set aside pastries for an hour with no credit card to hold or until pickup with a credit card number.

Can you make my wedding cake?

We do make wedding cakes but our calendar books fast so please contact us at least 3 months in advance to check on our availability for your event date.

What’s your minimum required for custom ordered desserts?

We ask that you order at least a dozen of each item/flavor/color dessert.

Do you offer cake/pastry delivery?

We offer delivery for an additional fee on items such as wedding cakes and large quantity desserts over $500 and must be arranged well ahead of time. delivery fee depends on distance and difficulty.

Do you offer vegan gluten or other allergen free desserts?

We have a variety of gluten free and nut free desserts. we don’t offer vegan or dairy free desserts.
